Water Quality: Investing In The Future Of Clean Water
Our efforts to provide off-site water quality credits have set the standard for the nation. With our nutrient offset and riparian buffer projects throughout North Carolina and Virginia we have improved water quality in major watershed basins such as the Neuse River and Chesapeake Bay.
These projects focus on reducing nutrient loading by minimizing runoff on agriculture lands and/or preventing active erosion on degraded streams. The resulting credits can be used by clients to satisfy their stormwater permit requirements, allowing them to avoid the higher costs and long-term maintenance liabilities often associated with more traditional, on-site stormwater management practices. This green infrastructure approach allows for the impact of stormwater compliance to be seen and felt across the landscape.
